Abstract

The author outlines three extensions to the tactical planning model. For ease of presentation, the extensions are given for a single-work-station setting, rather than for a network of work stations. The extensions are (1) to model unreliable work stations; (2) to incorporate variability due to lot sizing, and (3) to include an explicit capacity constraint on production
