Abstract
This paper addresses the need for and development of an efficient Computer based Knowledge Management System for the most prominent sector for the developing countries; the HealthCare Sector. This is a part of an ongoing research particularly pertaining to HIV/AIDS in India. It highlights the multidisciplinary field of Knowledge Management and explains how it can revolutionize the HealthCare Sector (especially HIV/AIDS). This paper will outline the research done till now and the phases planned for the development of a management of Information systems to utilize the data colleted in implementation of the various projects aimed at providing preventive or palliative services for the population.
