Abstract :
Sensor data validation is essential for the successful operation of any complex dynamic system, which is largely dependent on the validity of the sensor data. As the sensor data is used for the display and control purposes, the overall process output would be faulty if the sensor data is erroneous. In this paper a Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Inference System is used to determine the data-confidence of the sensor data. The methodology presented is illustrated on experimental data from an RTD sensor and a pressure sensor. This method can be called as a generic method as, it works for processes which are as slow as temperature processes and also processes which are as fast as pressure processes.
