Abstract :
The mechanical characteristics of circular arch span pipelines under load of pressure, temperature, deadweight and wind are obtained by shooting method. In order to solve the nonlinear boundary-value problems, the Kirchhoff theory is used. The large nonlinear displacement in axial direction and the movement of fixed end in vertical plane is considered. The result is shown that the mechanical characteristics are mainly changed in vertical plane after the fixed end is moved in vertical plane.
