Abstract
The authors present the steady-state solution method for a general multimachine dynamic model, showing the relationship between the standard load flow Jacobian and the system state matrix. They discuss the question of how the existence of a dynamic equilibrium point is related to the existence of a load flow solution. Conditions under which the load flow Jacobian matrix gives information about steady-state stability are discussed
