  • Abstract
The quality of fingerprint Image has more important influence on fingerprint identification technology. Depend on fingerprint´s features and fingerprint image´s texture feature, this paper give a method for estimating the quality of fingerprint image based on ridge and valley lines. The traditional analysis method of ridge and valley lines resolution have improved by this method and this method combine the local with the overall to get a better description. With index fusion method to finally determine the quality of fingerprint and using the fingerprint image ridge valley line resolution, fingerprint image effective area, fingerprint image gray mean and variance as a quality evaluation related index factor. The method to judge the quality of the accuracy of fingerprint was obviously improved.
