Abstract
This paper presents a renovated formulation for transmission network expansion planning (TNEP) which considers the impact of line bundles. The proposed formulation is a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) model which guaranties convergence to the optimal solution. This approach has been applied to two test systems including modified Garver 6-bus and modified IEEE 24-bus reliability test system. Simulation results and performed comparative studies demonstrate the accuracy as well as efficiency of the proposed method in terms of expansion costs and line bundles modeling approach.
