Ideas on Individual Information Service of Foreign Periodicals

Individual information service is the kind of information service based on Reader´s personal demands, which has been attempted in academic libraries both at home and abroad. The necessity of individual information service in foreign periodicals is expounded in this article. Some practices and experiences such as new periodicals announcement service and establishing foreign periodical column were introduced; the existing problem and the developmental tendency in individual information service of foreign periodicals were proposed.
