  • Abstract
A novel power factor control and power flow control method for IGBT current source rectifier is proposed in this paper. Unlike the conventional control method in the a-b-c three-phase stationary frame, the proposed control is based on the d-q rotating frame. The proposed power factor compensation scheme can provide maximum achievable power factor under all operating conditions, including the regenerative mode. Whatpsilas more, the scheme is parameter insensitive, which can improve the systempsilas stability. Due to the IGBTpsilas switching character, the space vector modulation (SVM) is adopted, so the fast dynamic response and the little harmonic content can be achieved. Simulation results are provided to verify the theoretical analysis.
