Abstract :
An effective gait recognition method using the magnitude and the phase of quaternion wavelet transformation (QWT) is proposed. The proposed method is based on the gait energy image (GEI). The magnitude of the low frequency subband and the phase of the high frequency subbands of QWT are calculated as the feature. Experimental results show that the proposed method has desirable recognition performance.
