Abstract
A class of decoupled estimators for linear, discrete-time interconnected large-scale systems is described. These filters are obtained by designing decoupled filters at the subsystems levels. The connection variables are dealt with either by using the most updated estimates or by synthesizing them from measurements using least-squares-estimation techniques
