Abstract :
The basic operational principle of the three-phase voltage source converter system is the subject of this paper . This type of converter is regarded as well known. Despite this, there are some details worth analysing and describing. In the drawn-out analysis the aggregated transistor state function for one branch of the converter is introduced. Influence of dead time on voltage space vector area is analysed. Unified model of the converter operational principle is presented. Voltage space vector modulation methods with dead time effect compensation for voltage source converter are developed.
