Abstract :
Virtual reality technology has become a main research field of computer development application gradually in recent years. Virtual campus is a specific application of virtual reality technology in the digital campus. The basic principles and key technologies of building virtual campus model are studied in this paper. According to the requirements of virtual reality, virtual campus 3D models are established, which uses 3ds Max as the platform, the campus environment of Shenyang Agricultural University as the prototype. It elaborates specifically on the advantages of using the 3ds Max for building the virtual campus scene, the campus construction model´s design methods, processes and optimization. What has discussed above is prepared for the virtual campus roaming system development.
