Abstract :
A study has been made of a fit-to-data algorithm for the identification of a diffusion coefficient in flow equations. The data is given on the boundary of the spatial domain, and it is assumed to be of homogeneous Neumann and nonhomogeneous Dirichlet type. Results on existence and finite-dimensional approximation are discussed
