Abstract :
This paper figures out an advanced-terminal algorithm for H.264 motion estimation, based on all zero block. The algorithm was improved on the sector with the all-zero blocks. Otherwise, it improved the efficiency of motion estimation by using the relevance of different segmentation modes. During the experiment, it reduced the motion estimation point after testing different video sequences. The results reflect that this algorithm is able to reach the requirements of reducing motion estimation time with the premise of ensuring general SNR.
