Abstract :
In field oriented control of permanent magnet synchronous machines, the knowledge of θ, the angle between the “dq” reference rotor frame, and the frame of fixed axes connected with stator windings, is fundamental. In this paper the authors present a classical open-loop speed observer for PM synchronous motors, where an innovative correction algorithm is introduced
