  • Abstract
    In the traditional positioning system of the overhead crane, the method used is low positioning accuracy and ineffectiveness. In this paper, a novel positioning system is presented, which is a new positioning control system using laser range finders and bar code positioning system (BPS) to locate an overhead crane. The actual application shows that novel positioning control system is more than 200 times accuracy compared with the traditional one. Meanwhile, it can provide a higher efficient method and save energy indirectly also.
