Abstract :
A set of equations is derived to permit calculation of speed change and generated voltage (both magnitude and phase angle) of an individual induction motor under motor open-circuit or short-circuit conditions, using a calculator. The equations for motor coasting are very accurate. The equations for motor ride-through are nonlinear, and the proposed approach provides a viable and conservative solution to this complex problem. The equations derived were verified by computer
