Abstract
The new true effective value algorithm can achieve fast and accurate measurement for distortion waveform and does not need to follow a principle that the period of the AC signal should be integer times of the sampling period. With the increase in sampling points, measurement accuracy will be further improved. Based on these advantages, the new true RMS algorithm can achieve more rapid, convenient and accurate measurement.
