Abstract :
In the last decade, the field of Fault Detection and Diagnosis in the electric motor manufacturing industry, are becoming more important. The methods used to study the fault detection and diagnoses are based on an explicit mathematical model of the system under test. This article presents, in detail, a method for the study and the simulation of a symmetrical short-circuit of a synchronous machine. It will be calculate and plot the variation of the current of a phase in time, by using the software of Matlab. So, the paper is a theoretical approach on the fault detection and simulation.
