An Investigation into Broadband Smart Antenna Systems for Wireless Communication

Broadband smart antenna techniques have been extensively studied for broadband wireless communications systems to reduce interference and increase the system capacity. The configurations and broadband beamforming algorithms of the broadband smart antenna system are reviewed with some discussion of theory and performance. Smart antenna array geometries of various kinds are considered and the performance of array is discussed. The further research and application on broadband smart antenna system are briefly indicated.
