            Abstract : 
The authors´ method for the atmospheric water vapor measurement assumes a quasi-stable nature of the atmospheric water vapor absorption. To determine the effect of the fractional instability on the integrated water vapor estimation, computer simulations are carried out using radio sonde data at Yonago station of Japan Meteorological Agency in 1993. The results show that the errors are less than 5% for the cold and dry weather conditions in February, when the error is generally increased. Further improvement of the measurement accuracy are discussed
