Abstract :
To simulate the triangular dielectric resonator antennas (DRA´s), an unconditionally stable technique, the alternating direction implicit (ADI) are developed for the pseudospectral time-domain (PSTD) algorithm in this paper. This time-domain method is used for solving Maxwell´s equations to maintain stability while achieving higher accuracy and efficiency over the finite-difference time-domain method. The multidomain strategy is employed to allow for a flexible treatment of internal inhomogeneities. Numerical results demonstrate the unconditional stability and the second-order accuracy for the ADI-PSTD algorithm. For the designed DRA array, simulations are verified by measurements and reasonable agreement between theory and experiment is obtained. It is shown that this method is highly efficient for the analysis of DRA´s.
