Abstract :
Leakage inductances of transformers significantly influence the behavior of power electronic circuits. This paper deals with their prediction: The application of the approximation method of Lebedev for the calculation of leakage inductance of core-type transformers as well as an extension of this method for pie winding arrangements are presented. Design aspects influencing leakage inductance are additionally investigated by means of finite element simulations.
