Abstract :
The authors present some of the experiences resulting from using an Ada language system in developing programs that allow designers to develop models of communications networks for the future. The models were developed at the macro level. The circuit-switched model was translated from Fortran into Ada. The packet-switched model was written directly in Ada. The program development has been very successful using the Ada language systems
