Abstract :
A small size low profile monopole antenna for mobile communication is presented using magnetic coating. The obtained FDTD simulation results show that a magnetic dielectric coating surrounding the monopole antenna may reduce its size approximately by 50%. The antenna size reduction may be controlled by using appropriate magnetic dielectric coating without significant effect on the radiation characteristics of the antenna.
