Abstract
An integrated environment for robotics control is presented. A case study using an IBM PC and a Heath Kit Hero-1 robot is discussed. The implementation includes immediate robot online mode and an integrated control mode which allows object recognition results to be communicated to the robot. The integrated environment also offers memory management for the robot´s user memory and controls the communication between the PC and the robot. The design allows incorporation of all development tools for the robot such as a cross compiler and a simulator
