Abstract :
This paper discusses the solutions for large-scale centralized monitoring and control of wind farms in remote power dispatching center. The structure and function of the centralized monitoring and control system for large-scale wind farms is Introduced. Through the OPC interface, the integrated communications management terminal installed in the wind farm communicates with the local wind farm monitoring system to complete the wind farm data acquisition task, Then through the electric power dispatch data network or green channel, these data is uploaded to the dispatching center. According to the dispatch instructions, master control center system can send set point value of wind power control and voltage control to the integrated communications management terminal to realize the on-line control of the total active power for wind farm and the bus voltage control of step-up station, as a result, achieving the target of automatic generation control AGC and automatic voltage control AVC of large-scale wind farms. The system has been in operation at the Dispatching Center in the west of Inner Mongolia Power Grid.
