Abstract :
At present, most of the communication functions of the smart field instruments are Modbus protocol with RS485 interface. With the popularity of the Profibus fieldbus applications,more and more smart field instruments proposed functional requirements for Profibus. STM32 combined with the communications chip VPC3 + C, completing a Modbus-Profibus total line bridge design, in which the VPC3+C realizes the Profibus-DP interface protocols, and the STM32 realizes the Modbus Communication protocol and the overall operation of the total line bridge. Testing shows that Modbus-Profibus bus bridge can realize Profibus communication function of the field devices and intelligent instruments, thus providing Profibus communication solutions with short development cycle, low cost and high efficiency.
