Abstract :
A 39.2~45.5GHz frequency divider with a switched cross-coupled pair is presented. By using the switched cross-coupled pair, the input frequency range of the proposed divider is extended. This chip has been fabricated in a 0.13 mum CMOS process and its core area is only 0.4 mm2 without I/O pads. Its power consumption is 30mW. Measurement results show the input frequency range of the proposed divider is improved by 9% with input power of 0dBm. The measured maximum input frequency range is 6.3GHz.
