Abstract
Some irregular multiconductor transmission line (MTL) structures on printed circuit board (PCB) with external electromagnetic (EM) field are analyzed using EM topology and BLT (Baum, Liu, Tesche) equation. By introducing nodes and tubes, MTL structures can be accurately described using EM topology. Based on these topology models, the frequency-domain responses of the MTL structures in the presence of external electromagnetic field are obtained using BLT equation. To validate this application, the results are compared with those using EM simulation software, and they are in good agreement.
