Abstract :
A water quality monitoring system using automatic control and network techniques has been built. Hardware and software configuration for the system: measure meters, sensors, client/server configurations, Ethernet networks running TCP/IP, wireless network, PC-based operator terminals, terminal server´s relational database and application software. The telemetry network improves the monitoring system´s ability to monitor water quality change. Water quality data collected is more scientific and more representative. The data that can reflect water quality in real time is sent to the computer control center and analyzed. Environmental protection agencies can use the analysis results to manage and supervise the industrial discharges and water quality more easily.
