Abstract
This paper proposes an approach to applying Project-Based Learning in engineering courses. The proposed approach stresses on the design of PBL courses, taking into account aspects like problem definition, project and its progression, lectures, student teams, and student evaluation. This work seeks to orient engineering teachers in the use of PBL as an educational approach in specific subjects availing of the available resources from traditional education and incorporating web-based resources. The paper presents a study case carried out in the control courses of an Electronics Engineering program at Universidad del Valle, Colombia. The experience obtained in this application is used as a source to describe the approach.
