  • Abstract
The purpose of this study was to assess the correlation between the technological progress in agriculture and the income of farmers in a particular region in China. The technological progress in agriculture played an important role in promoting economic growth, developing agricultural production and increasing the supply of agricultural products. However, it was proved by empirical analysis that a weak and negative correlation existed between the technological progress in agriculture and the income of farmers. That was to say, income of the farmers were not sensitive to the technological progress. Despite of the technological advances in agriculture became increasingly important, but farmers´ income that was obtained from the technical advances clearly lagged behind the technological progress.
