Abstract :
The investigations of spatially-time distribution of temperature in PTC-thermistors based on semiconducting barium titanate under current loading was carried out. The analysis was made on the basis of the numerical decision of the non-linear thermal conductivity equation. Comparison of theoretical results and experimental data was carried out. Dependence of temperature performances of PTC-thermistors from properties of materials and conditions of heat exchange with ambient has been investigated. Changing of temperature distribution during switching of thermistors to high-resistance state has been studied. It is investigated spatially-time distribution of temperature within of one grain of semiconducting ceramics.
