  • Abstract
    In this paper, the Hopf bifurcation is studied that present at dynamic power system. Some conditions that guarantee Hopf bifurcation exist in dynamic power system are given. A new method is structured to detect the Hopf bifurcation, which is able to detect direction of dynamic change of the real parts of the eigenvalues as the parameter change. The eigenvalues that cross firstly the imaginary axis are able to be identified. Calculation process of the method is simplified, and a typical power system model test efficiency of the method.
