Abstract :
As to the innovation in the science and technology, the informatization is an important topic of theoretical research. Moreover, it is also considered the essence of the modernization in the science and technology. With the development of the information age, the amount of information growing exponentially, data mining is produced in this case. The new technology is, not only a product of the information age, but also a new way to overcome the data mountain in the road of progress. In this article, the role of data mining played in the innovation of science and technology was discussed, respectively. We take a brief review about its influence and application on the innovative activities in the science and technology. Furthermore, a prediction on the development of data mining had been discreetly presented at the end of each part. In this paper, the general applications of the technology were profiled, which may be helpful for the domestic researchers in the science and technology.
