Abstract
This paper proposes the Bistatic Circular Synthetic Aperture Radar (BiCSAR) imaging mode, which is the combination of Bistatic SAR (BiSAR) and Circular SAR (CSAR), has the capability of passive receiving and three-dimensional resolving. Then the imaging geometry and signal model of BiCSAR is presented. After that, the polar format algorithm for BiCSAR is derived and proposed based on Taylor series expansion and phase compensation. Finally, the algorithm is validated with the computer simulation and the experiment in anechoic chamber.
