Abstract :
In this paper, we proposed soft switching multi-phase boost converter. A high efficiency power conversion device is required to obtain constant voltage from solar cells of which output voltage fluctuates very severely by irradiance and temperature. Using the proposed converter, we can control input voltage that fluctuates within operation range to constant output voltage, and it can reduce input current ripple and output voltage ripple. In addition, using ZVS (zero voltage switching) and ZCS (zero current switching), switching losses are reduced. We performed simulation and experiment for the proposed soft switching multi-phase boost converter.
