Abstract :
In this paper, a novel hybrid modulation method is presented based on the analysis of the existing modulation method, the phase-shifted PWM modulation and the level-shifted PWM modulation. The novel modulation is best fitted for the active power filter based on the cascaded H-bridge converter. Itpsilas supported by the simulation with Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show that the efficiency of the APF can be improved greatly with the novel hybrid modulation method.
