Abstract :
New formulation of equal-length three-section open stubs having two zeros locating on the unit circle and one zero at z=-l (thetas = Pi ) in the Z-plane is employed to study low- pass filters. Low-pass filters configuration consisting of equal- length two-section open stubs, serial lines, open stubs, and three- section open stubs are employed to emulate the discrete-time filters. A new model of discrete-time filters will be designed based on the three-section transmission line theories. Two low-pass filters are realized in the form of microstrip lines and its frequency responses are measured to validate this new formulation.
