Abstract :
Digital land mass data applied for flight guidance are of increasing importance. Using this three-dimensional terrain information, three-dimensional flight paths can be calculated onboard the aircraft to maximize terrain masking and minimize threat exposure. The navigation aspect, terrain data presentation, flight path calculation and a system concept are discussed
