Abstract
The Applications Branch of the Avionics Laboratory, Air Wright-Patterson AFB OH has a significant amount of modeling and simulation FORTRAN code. The advantages and disadvantages of converting this FORTRAN code to Ada were examined. The reasons for deciding to convert much but not all-of it are considered. The code conversion methods considered are discussed, and the method chosen is described
