Abstract
The Opposite-Sign Cellular Neural Network (CNN) has been closely analysed as it represents one of the simplest non-reciprocal CNNs and it´s stability properties are therefore of great interest. The Value-Asymmetric CNN (VACNN) is a CNN with cloning template [r p -s], r≠s and can be considered to be a practical implementation of the ideal Opposite-Sign CNN, with template [s p -s], since manufacturing imperfections may cause the latter template to become asymmetric. In this paper we analyse the stability of the VACNN, obtaining parameter ranges which guarantee complete stability
