Abstract :
Based on the excellent autocorrelation of UP-Chirp and DOWN-Chirp signals and the narrow correlation peak property after the matched filter, a π4 -DQPSK chirp spread spectrum (CSS) Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless communication system is presented. The proposed system is low power, low cost and low complexity for the using of analog passive Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices. Through simulation, the BER performances of the π4 -DQPSK CSS UWB system were obtained and compared with those of TH- BPPM UWB. The simulation results show that the proposed system is highly robust against multipath effects through SAW rake receiver when used in the indoor channel environments proposed by the IEEE 802.15SG3a.
