Abstract :
A timed Petri net, the Timed Petri Net with Firing Duration (TPNFD) has been defined specifically for modeling distributed programs. The use of TPNFDs can reduce overhead in distributed simulation. Our experimental work has convinced us of the feasibility of distributed simulation of TPNFDs on loosely coupled systems
