Abstract :
Spectral correlation is a new tool for modulation classification. Features of Spectral Correlation Function (SCF) are determined not only by modulation type but also by modulation sources. In this paper, SCFs of various base-band sources are analyzed and simulated. Then they are compared with their analog and digital amplitude modulation signals. It shows clearly what contribute to peaks of SCF diagrams which are main features for modulation classification. Algorithms to estimate carrier frequency and baud rate based on SCF are also proposed in this paper.
