Abstract :
We demonstrate an in-plane diode-stack side-pumped planar waveguide laser. For 106 W of absorbed pump power, 58 W of output power is obtained at 1.064 μm from a monolithic 3 μm-thick double-clad Nd:YAG waveguide.
