Abstract

The current development of a test and evaluation (T&E) software tool that cross-references critical T&E issues with potential problem-solving methods, techniques, procedures, and guidelines is reviewed. The need for improved T&E tools is discussed, as well as the expected benefits of the current development effort. The methods used to create the user-assisted test and evaluation methodology assistant program (TEMAP): version I are discussed. TEMAP can be applied to guide the development and conduct a T&E program. It can also serve as a tutorial for those inexperienced with the T&E or systems research process. Further requirements for developing the TEMAP prototype into a mature T&E software tool are also discussed
