Abstract :
The Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS) is a US Air Force program designed to provide current R&M data to the user when they are needed, in usable form. This compatibility is being developed through a distributed architecture of fault tolerant, peer processors linked through various communications networks with a sophisticated, relational database management system (DBMS) which allows the user transparent access to the distributed architecture
